For tweed amps with AlNiCo 10’s, also to replace vintage (early 50’s) Chicago Jensen P10S, P10R, Oxford AlNiCo 10’s, etc.

10″, 7oz AlNiCo plug magnet, 15 watt, 1″ voice coil, straight cone.

Warm, crunchy, early breakup, aggressive, compressed/fattened at high volume.

Need help with the explanation of the speaker names? click <here>.

Ted Weber Speakers are built with tighter, more concentric voice coil gaps, and lower carbon, machined steel parts in the magnet circuits which yield a stronger, more controlled tone at all volumes, particularly in the low end at high volumes.

Ted Weber Speakers are hand-built to order, to ensure the best attention to detail is paid to your speaker.  We build them one at a time, on a table – not hundreds at a time on an assembly line.  This allows us to reduce the margin for error and produce an overall higher-quality speaker.  Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be built and then shipped.

Having recently purchased my first amp, a used VOX AC4TV, I was unhappy with the often harsh, brittle sounds coming from the stock speaker, especially when overdriven.
After installing the Weber 10A100, (note to AC4 owners; the output trans need to be moved on the chassis) I am extremely pleased with the new tone. Much warmer and richer sounding, with none of the former harshness under distortion. There does seem to be a slight reduction in bass response, but that’s not an issue for me. Fit and finish of the speaker are outstanding and it sounds awesome. Before, I would grimace and want to turn the amp down. Now I want to turn it up!

I had a couple of Sig10As in my stash and after scratch building a tweed 5F4 super clone they went in. Great sound but I wanted a little more crunch. One of the Sig10As was replaced with a 10A100 and the combination of speakers gave it a unique voice. Compressed, barking attack and a very vintage blues-on-the-edge sound. I avoid pedals and control the drive with the guitar’s volume. Great speaker(s)! Fwiw, I like to mix them in other amps too. My ’68 Pro Reverb has a 12F150 and 12F150t. Love it.
