12″, 60oz ceramic magnet, 100 watts, 2-1/2″ voice coil, curved cone. Very Loud, smooth, uncolored, huge low end like an EV, great headroom. Available with paper or aluminum dome.
Dome Descriptions:
Aluminum: Very bright, almost piercing highs akin to vintage JBLs. Good for crystal cleans, but avoid for even slight distortion.
Paper: High end is tonally less trebly than the aluminum, more piercing only under heavy pick attack. Good for brighter cleans and slight overdrive.

I use this 1X12 Michigan with my Custom built Princeton Reverb Head. You have move mountains to break up this speaker as the specifications suggest and I am a total fan of chimey clean sound to which I can add my drive (G2D Cream Tone).
I have also used this on the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe but to tame that loudness , I switched to V1=AY7, V2=AT7 and V3=AT7 and power tubes = 5881s. This makes the Hot Rod Deluxe sound like 2K+ custom amp. I also changed the volume and drive POTs to 500k audio taper.

I’m thrilled with my new 12" Michigan. I shaved ten pounds off my speaker cab by replacing an EV with the Michigan. It accomplishes the same mission as the EV…warm but uncolored and massive headroom. Although it can probably handle any typoe of music, I don’t waste time on any rock and roll bull$#&% or pedals… if you want your archtop to sound like a traditional jazz guitar should, here it is. Excellent build quality too.

Great speaker! It does just what is described on the website and is lighter than most EVs which is a big plus. It’s very versatile and you can get lots of different tones with it.
